Services described on our website are general descriptions only and do not constitute a guarantee of availability for any specific project.
Free on-site estimates are provided without obligation. An estimate reflects our best assessment of the cost of a project based on conditions observed at the time of the visit. Estimates are not binding contracts.
A written contract or proposal will be provided before any work begins. The contract will specify the scope of work, materials to be used, the total price, and the payment schedule. Prices stated in the contract are binding once both parties have signed.
Additional costs may arise if unforeseen conditions are discovered during construction - such as rotted structural members, unstable soil, or changes to the scope of work requested by the customer. Any change to the contracted price requires a written change order signed by both parties before the additional work is performed.
Project start dates are scheduled after the contract is signed and any required deposit is received. Start dates are subject to permit approval timelines, weather conditions, and material availability. We will keep you informed of any changes to the schedule.
If you need to cancel or postpone a scheduled project, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation terms, including any applicable deposit refund policy, are specified in your written contract.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions, permitting delays, or other circumstances outside our control. We will provide reasonable notice and work with you to find an alternative date.
Payment terms are specified in your written contract and may include a deposit due at signing, progress payments at defined milestones, and a final payment upon project completion.
Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work as defined in the contract. Failure to make payment when due may result in a lien being placed on your property in accordance with California mechanics lien law.
Accepted payment methods will be specified in your contract. Returned checks or failed electronic payments may be subject to a service fee.
Where required by applicable law or local ordinance, Apple Valley Deck & Fence will obtain the necessary building permits before beginning construction. Permit fees, when applicable, will be specified in the written contract. The customer is responsible for ensuring that any homeowners association approvals required for the project are obtained before work begins, unless the contract specifically assigns this responsibility to Apple Valley Deck & Fence.
Warranty terms for labor and workmanship are specified in your written contract. Manufacturer warranties on materials - such as composite decking, railings, and fasteners - are passed through to you as the customer to the extent the manufacturer permits.
Warranties do not cover damage resulting from improper maintenance, misuse, natural disasters, or normal wear and tear. Modifications to the completed work made by anyone other than Apple Valley Deck & Fence will void any workmanship warranty.
Except as expressly stated in a written contract, all services and information provided by Apple Valley Deck & Fence are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We make no warranty that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Apple Valley Deck & Fence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our website or our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of a specific project shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that project. Some states do not allow limitations on certain types of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action related to these terms or our services that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in San Bernardino County, California.
